OnTalent is proud to partner with selectability to appoint its next Chief Financial Officer, a critical executive leadership role with one of North Queensland’s most significant human services organisations.
Headquartered in Townsville, selectability is a not-for-profit charity committed to improving mental wellbeing and contributing to suicide prevention across regional Queensland. Over recent years, the organisation has grown in scale, reach and complexity, expanding across mental wellbeing, NDIS, child and family services, youth residential care and aged care. Today, selectability employs approximately 850 people and supports communities across a broad regional footprint.
As selectability enters its next stage of maturity, the organisation is seeking a contemporary CFO who can provide strategic financial leadership, strengthen governance and reporting, and support sustainable growth and impact.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, and working closely with the Board and Executive Leadership Team, the CFO will be a trusted adviser on selectability’s current and future financial position. You will lead financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, performance reporting, internal controls, risk, capital planning, investment analysis and finance systems improvement.
This is not a narrow technical finance role. It is a broad executive opportunity requiring commercial judgement, strategic thinking, strong stakeholder engagement and the ability to lead a finance function that enables better decision-making across a complex, people-intensive and values-led organisation.
You will lead and develop a capable finance team, contribute to whole-of-organisation performance, and ensure financial insights are clear, timely and useful for leaders operating across frontline service delivery, corporate functions and governance settings.
We are seeking a CA or CPA qualified finance leader with senior executive experience, ideally as a CFO or equivalent. You will bring strong technical capability, confidence working with Boards and executive teams, and experience supporting organisational performance, sustainability and change. Experience in health, disability, aged care, community services, government-funded services, not-for-profit or another complex multi-site environment will be highly regarded.
For a Townsville or North Queensland-based finance executive, this is a rare opportunity to bring your capability to an organisation with scale, purpose and deep connection to the communities it serves.
